Instrumental instruction
We offer instrumental instruction in collaboration with external professional musicians.
All instrumental lessons take place in the school.
For years 5 through 12: trumpet, cornet, clarinet, saxophone, flute, recorder, oboe, piano, guitar, percussion, tuba, trombone, euphonium, guitar, bass, electric bass.
For years 7 through 12: singing lessons.
Music trip
All participants of the music electives traditionally go on a music trip before the spring concert in order to prepare the repertoire intensively.
Concert and opera
The Obermenzing Gymnasium regularly visits the extensive programme of Munich's theatres and opera houses with its pupils. For example, we work together with the Bavarian State Opera, the Bavarian State Ballet, the August Everding Theatre Academy and the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra. In the process, the pupils attend workshops and academies, dress rehearsals and performances and talk to artists, dramaturgs and other staff of the cultural institutions.
